Academic Biography
Mr. Garfinkle finished his undergraduate degree at Connecticut College in 2004--in 7 semesters, with one semester spent in Germany--and, after spending time in Brazil and India, he returned to the ivory towers of academia and completed a Master's Degree in Philosophy at Temple University in 2012. The time between degrees was spent teaching in South America, working in offices in Washington DC, and leading grass-roots development programs in India, but his passion for the classroom brought him back to teaching and (after a few years back in Germany) he started teaching at DCCC in 2016, and is eager to rejoin the Communications, Arts & Humanities department for the Spring of 2022 after a pandemic-related-hiatus of last year.
