The College has partnered with the Project Management Institute-Delaware Valley Chapter to offer courses to prepare you for certification in project management. These certifications recognize your project management knowledge, skills and abilities and demonstrate your project management expertise and professional experience.
Members of PMI-Delaware Valley Chapter receive an exclusive discount on the course fees. To join, please visit pmi.org/membership/join. Note: PMP, CAPM, and PMBOK are registered marks of the Project Management Institute, Inc.
Course Combo: Enroll in both the Foundations in Project Management and the PMP Exam Prep courses at the same time and receive an additional $200 discount. Guarantee: Enrollees who take the PMP exam and do not pass may retake the Exam Prep course (limit one repeat).
Study groups for the PMP and CAPM exams are free for members of PMI-DVC and anyone who takes a PMI-DVC exam prep course. Study groups meet two evenings a week for five weeks. The PMP Exam is based on PMBOK 7 + The Agile Practice Guide. Both PMBOK 7 and The Agile Practice guide are FREE for members of PMI. It is highly recommended for students in the PMP Exam Prep course to have both in their possession. The PMP Exam Prep course described below was specifically prepared by PMI to prepare students for the new PMP Exam.

Foundations in Project Management
New to project management and need to ramp up your skills in a hurry? If so then this is the course for you. You will learn a good bit about everything project management. The course starts with why and how projects get started. Then goes into the planning basics of scope schedule and budget and how to create a project plan. You will also see how to manage a project team and manage risk.
Our instructors are all PMP-certified practitioners with experience in a variety of professions and who possess numerous academic credentials. This 28-hour course provides an in-depth review of project management principles and provides a proven and sound foundation of project management basics, practical examples and exercises to mimic real life.
This course will help students increase their knowledge and confidence to be successful in managing projects of all sizes and complexities. Students will be able to immediately apply what they learn on the job.
The course aligns with the current PMP Exam Content Outline. The hours that you spend taking this course can be applied to the 35-hour education requirement needed to sit for the PMP Exam.

PMP® Exam Prep - 35 Hours
This intense, 35-hour preparation course contains five modules that immerse you in real-world scenarios, representing various industries and project management situations to help you practice applying principles and concepts at work. This course meets the 35-hour requirement to apply to take PMP Exam and is intended for those who are experienced in project management (3 years for those with a four-year degree, 5 years for those with secondary education diploma or equivalent) and who have already taken project a management course. The focus is on how best to prepare, study for, and take the PMP credential examination. A review of material normally covered in the exam will be presented. Successful completion of this course ensures that students will meet the 35-hour education requirement in order to apply for and take the exam and that their Education will not be subject to content audit.
Electronic version of required course material is included in the cost of the course, along with hardcopy of the supporting book. Hardcopy will be shipped to the address provided at registration. Registrations within a week before the first class, will not receive hardcopy in time for the first class.

CAPM® Exam Prep- 24 Hours -
Are you new to Project Management and looking to get certified?
The CAPM certification might be perfect for you! Unlike PMP, it doesn't require prior Project Management experience. Our 24-hour preparation course fulfills the 23-hour eligibility requirement for the CAPM Exam.
Ideal for beginners or those with insufficient practical experience for the PMP Exam, out course focuses on the best preparation, study, and test-taking strategies for the CAPM certification exam.
