Industry Stakeholder Forums at DCCC will Highlight New Southeast Center in Drexel Hill and How Businesses Can Partner to Produce a Highly Skilled Regional Workforce
Delaware and Chester Counties, PA - January 14, 2025)—Are you interested in driving innovation, investing in the region’s future workforce, and growing the regional economy? Delaware County Community College invites industry leaders to learn how they can be partners in the College’s Building Community Campaign—a bold $7.5 million initiative to provide greater access to education, promote social and economic mobility, and share the future of workforce development in the region.
As work continues in preparation for the January 2026 opening of the College’s new Southeast Center at the site of the former Archbishop Prendergast High School (401 North Lansdowne Avenue, Drexel Hill, PA 19026), leaders from companies in the Culinary and Hospitality; STEM; Skilled Trades/Advanced Technology; Healthcare; and Nonprofit sectors are invited to a series of special sessions—one tailored to each industry. The new Center will address the region’s economic and workforce gaps, creating a stronger economy and meeting employer demands—and offering generational benefits to the entire community. Stakeholder forum attendees will:
- Learn about the Southeast Center’s unique features and programs, which include a full culinary demonstration kitchen, a workforce development wing promoting biotechnology, electronics and other innovative career and technical education, and more.
- Get details on the project’s latest developments and how they can support the new Southeast Center in providing a pipeline of skilled candidates to fill Pennsylvania’s High Priority Occupations.
- Learn about limited naming opportunities, branding possibilities in prominent building spaces, recognition in press and campaign materials, and special events for donors.
- Discover why getting involved in the College’s Building Community Campaign will expand the College’s reach and create not just immediate workforce solutions, but generational change.
The stakeholder forums will be held in STEM Building Room 1403 on DCCC’s Main Campus in Media (901 S. Media Line Road, Media, PA 19063) on five Wednesdays this winter from 4 to 6 p.m. The presentation will be followed by a networking reception with light refreshments.
