Delaware County Community College’s Elder Week May 16-18 Offers Learning, Fun and Fellowship for Adults Age 55 And Older
(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA - March 31, 2023)—Delaware County Community College will hold its 38th Annual ElderWeek on May 16, 17 and 18, during which community members 55 years and older can learn new skills, make new friends and immerse themselves in new subject matter in specially designed mini-classes on the College’s Marple Campus, 901 S. Media Line Road, Media, PA 19063.
Students will find courses ranging from Salsa Dance Moves to Stretching and Strengthen, Watercolor Painting to Weaving, and CPR to Cinema History. Students can also learn practical skills such as digitizing photo prints and negatives to organize and preserve family memories, and history buffs will find topics ranging from the Revolutionary War to the Civil War. “There is literally something for everyone,” said Tricia Scepansky, the College’s director of Community Education.
Registration is $130 for all three days, or $115 for two days, which includes workshops, continental breakfast and lunches at the ElderWeek Café. Most classes and activities will take place in the College’s modern, light-filled STEM Center, which is conveniently located next to the parking lots and easily accessible.
