New Music Concert Series Presents Mendelssohn Club Performing 'BIG SING//Schubert'
(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA • October 16, 2012)—Delaware County Community College’s New Music Concert Series presents Mendelssohn Club of Philadelphia, joined by the Philadelphia Master Chorale and the African Episcopal Church of St. Thomas Chancel Choir, performing BIG SING//Schubert. The performance will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2012, at 6 p.m. at the Community Performing Arts Center at the Pennsylvania Institute of Technology (800 Manchester Avenue, Media).
Witness the transformational power of music connecting communities as the Mendelssohn Club welcomes the Philadelphia Master Chorale (led by Changho Lee) and the African Episcopal Church of St. Thomas Chancel Choir (led by Dr. Jay Fluellen) in the 3rd annual Big Sing. Explore the music of the Korean and African Episcopal traditions and join with hundreds of local singers to perform Schubert’s Mass in G. Whether you come to sing or just to listen, this multicultural experience is perfect for an excursion with colleagues or the whole family.

About the College’s Concert Series
Each semester, students of Delaware County Community College and residents of the Delaware County region have access to concerts featuring the world's top musicians right in their own backyard. The series highlights the expansive musical experience available in the 21st century, presenting virtuosic and cutting edge musicians from around the globe. The next performance takes place Sunday, December 2, and features violinist and Philadelphia Orchestra Concertmaster David Kim. The performance marks the grand opening of the College’s renovated Large Auditorium.
