(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA)—Concerned about paying for college? Find the money you need by attending Delaware County Community College’s Paying for College Information Night at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, October 23, 2012. This free seminar will be held in the STEM Center Auditorium (Room 1403) on the Marple Campus (901 S. Media Line Road, Media, PA).
College-bound students and their families are invited to attend the session, which will highlight available financial aid options and clarify the guidelines for filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). November 1 is the priority deadline for filing the FAFSA for spring classes that begin January 14, 2013. Financial Aid and Admissions representatives from the College will be on hand to answer questions and offer guidance on the process.
Participants will also learn about important timelines and dates, the importance of the FAFSA, mistakes to avoid and tips for making the financial aid filing process easier. Scholarships, loans and grants will be discussed as well. The session is great for those new to the process or for those who need a refresher.
Delaware County Community College is committed to providing access to affordable education and offers many opportunities to students who need financial aid, including federal and state grants, student loans, scholarships, payment plans and work-study programs.
