Allied Health, Emergency Services and Nursing Open House Offered March 8

(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA)—On Thursday, March 8, 2012, Delaware County Community College will host an Allied Health, Emergency Services and Nursing open house in the Large Auditorium of the Academic Building at the Marple Campus (901 South Media Line Road, Media, PA). The event runs from 6 to 8 p.m. and is free and open to anyone interested in the Allied Health fields.
Dr. Lana deRuyter, Dean of Allied Health, Emergency Services and Nursing, as well as Admissions and Financial Aid representatives will be on hand to answers questions and discuss the multitude of opportunities available at the College.
Tours of the College and its simulation labs will be offered along with four breakout sessions: Medical Coding and Healthcare Management; Emergency Services; Medical Assistant and Respiratory Therapy; Surgical Technology; and Perioperative Nursing and Registered Nurse First Assistant.
Delaware County Community College offers a variety of associate degrees and certificate programs in the Allied Health fields, including EMT, Fire Science, Health Studies, Medical Billing, Nursing, Paramedic, Surgical Technology and more. The College supports its Allied Health programs with state-of-the-art simulation laboratories that are staffed by industry professionals and outfitted with modern learning tools used in advanced nursing programs.
