Eight Transfer Agreements Signed by Delaware County Community College and Temple University
(Media, PA) Officials from Delaware County Community College and Temple University recently joined forces to sign eight transfer agreements creating pathways from the College’s associate degree programs in Applied Engineering Technology to Temple’s Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology (BSET).
Students who complete the associate in applied science degree program in Automotive Manufacturing/Robotics Technology, Architectural Technology, Computer-Aided Drafting and Design, Electronics Technology, Industrial Systems Technology, Machine Tool Technology, Mechanical Technology or Nanofabrication Technology will be able to transfer to the Engineering Technology program at Temple University’s College of Engineering.
“The College and Temple University have had an academic relationship for years,” stated Dr. Virginia Carter, Provost at Delaware County Community College. "These agreements will further our efforts in helping more students matriculate and continue their studies uninterrupted,” added Dr. Carter.
Once students transfer to Temple, they will be able to complete the BSET degree in two years or four full semesters provided the recommended course(s) are taken in the summer term prior to starting at Temple. All Temple grade and other requirements must be met to the University’s satisfaction.
The BSET degree at Temple is designed for students seeking careers in Engineering Technology with a broad-base of technological skills extending across the traditional related fields. Students can choose a specific track or a self-designed concentration to meet personal career objectives. The transfer program is offered full and part time with day and evening classes.
“Partnerships such as these not only support the College’s mission, but also our participation in Achieving the Dream, a nationwide, multi-year initiative aimed at ensuring success for community college students,” added Carter.
