Delaware County Community College Emergency Services Instructors Help Scouts Earn Merit Badges
(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA • April 7, 2022)—Delaware County Community College Emergency Services Education instructors hosted Glenolden Scout Troop 44 during an evening visit to the College’s Marple Campus on April 5. EMS Instructor Gary Thompson and Emergency Services Education Director Chris Millay, both scouts at one time themselves, assisted the Troop 44 scouts in obtaining their First-Aid merit badges. The instructors taught the scouts what to do in an emergency, CPR, what to do when someone is choking, as well as basic first aid.
“We were happy to host Troop 44 and congratulate them on obtaining their new merit badges! We see emergency services in some of their futures,” said Delaware County Community College Emergency Services Education Director Chris Millay.
