College to Hold Free FAFSA Completion Night for Students and Their Parents or Guardians on Thursday, October 6
(Delaware and Chester Counties, PA • October 4, 2022)—Delaware County Community College’s Financial Aid staff will be available in person from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday, October 6 to help students and their parents or guardians fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and to answer any questions they might have about the FAFSA, scholarships, federal Pell grants, Pennsylvania state grants, and student loans.
To register to attend FAFSA Completion Night, which will begin in the STEM Center Lobby at the Marple Campus, 901 South Media Line Road, Media, PA 19063, visit www.dccc.edu/fafsa-completion or call 610-723-4000.
The FAFSA filing season starts October 1 for the 2023-2024 academic year. The College’s recommended deadline to complete the FAFSA is May 1, 2023; however, the College will process completed applications after that date. Please note that applications submitted after that date may not be eligible for the PA state grant.
The FAFSA is a free government application that uses financial information from the student and their family to determine eligibility for financial aid from the federal government. If a student is admitted to a college or university they listed on their FAFSA, the institution will send them a financial aid package. The FAFSA is also used to determine eligibility for other federal student aid programs, like work-study and loans, as well as state and school aid including scholarships and grants.
